3 horses, 6 rankings and 2 podiums

3 SBS ambassadors – of which 2 approved stallions – stood out during the CSI5* Longines Global Champions Tour of Shanghai. On the first day of the competition, GARFIELD DE TIJI DES TEMPLIERS (Quasimodo Z/Goldspring de Lauzelle) and Jérôme Guéry (BEL) leaded the way with a 7th place over 1.55m. However, they did not intended to stop there as they also won the 1.55m-1.60m event, closely followed by DELUX VAN T&L (Toulon/Landetto – breeders: L. Tilleman & L. Van de Vijver in B-9180 Moerbeke-Waas) – Niels Bruynseels (BEL) on the 3rd step of the podium and by CARLOW VAN DE HELLE (Caretino/Corofino-I) and rider Constant van Paesschen (BEL) at place 10th. In addition to their brilliant 3rd place on this event,, DELUX VAN T&L and Niels Bruynseels granted themselves 2 other rankings: 11th on the 1.55m-1.60m against the clock and finally a great 6th place at the 1.60m Grand Prix, reaching an impressive total gain of $46 588. Over the week-end, the three Belgian couples totalized no less than $70 115!

The performances of 3 SBS horses at the CSI3* of Le Touquet (FRA) must also be acknowledged: a beautiful 1st place for VENEZIA D’ÉCAUSSINNES (E.O.) (Kashmir van Schuttershof/Lys de Darmen – breeder: C. Ameeuw in B-7190 Ecaussinnes) and Thierry Rozier (FRA), followed by ELIZE (Bamako de Muze/Nabab de Rêve – breeder: M. Vandamme in B-9220 Ham) and Aymeric de Ponnat (FRA) at 2nd place of the 1.50m with a jump-off. Finally, it is a 3rd place for CHOPIN DES HAYETTES (Radco d’Houtveld/Nimmerdor – breeder: Haras des Hayettes in F-08600 Givet) and Emeric Georges (FRA), also in a 1.50m event.

To finish on a high note, let’s head to Coapexpan (MEX) where VENUE D’FEES DES HAZALLES (E.O.) (Président/Alcatraz – breeder: D. Lamette in B-6940 Barvaux-sur-Ourthe) and Eve Jobs (USA) took 2nd place of the CSIO5* Nation’s Cup 1.60m.

Another fruitful week-end for the SBS which makes it difficult to choose given the many results achieved! (ML).
