This weekend at the Winter Equestrian Festival, talented CHIC HIN D’HYRENCOURT (Taran de la Pomme/Elanville – breeder: A. Henry at B-4452 Paifve) and its rider Beezie Madden (USA) achieved no less than the gold medal in the $150,000 Nations Cup CSIO4*.

VENUE D’FEES DES HAZALLES (E.O.) (Président/Alcatraz – breeder: D. Lamette at B-6940 Barvaux-sur-Ourthe) ridden by Eve Jobs (USA) won the tenth place over 1.50m before claiming the second place of the CSIO4* Grand Prix few days later.

The Belgian ridder, Zoe Conter, also standed out during this competition thanks to her second place in the CSIO4* over 1.45m with DOLITAIRE CHAVANNAISE (E.O.) (Cicero Z/Voltaire – breeder : Y. Evrard at B-6960 Manhay) and particularly to her seventh place with DAVIDOFF DE LASSUS (Ugano Sitte (E.T.)/Ksar Sitte – breeder : Payelle E. at B-7602 Bury) in the CSIO4* Grand Prix.

At the CSI5* in Doha (QAT), Niels Bruynseels (BEL) and DELUX VAN T&L (Toulon/Landetto –breeders: L. Tilleman & L. Van de Vijver at B-9180 Moerbeke-Waas) have performed well, ranking themselves at the fifth place over the 1.55/1.60m and at the eighth place of the Grand Prix.

SBS horse’s results are also promising on the other side of the Atlantic.

ANAYA DE STE-HERMELLE (E.O.) (Andiamo/Paladin des Ifs – breeder: Elevage de Ste-Hermelle at B 6181 Gouy-lez-Pieton) once again made a name for herself by taking the first place over 1.50m at the CSI 4* with Pedro Veniss (BRA) during the third week of the Sunshine tour (ESP). She also won the fourth place over 1.45m. One thing is certain: the pair is riding high.

At the CSI 2* Grand Prix of Royan (FR), the impressive third place of the mare A-VIE DU CALVAIRE (E.O.) (Wandor vd Mispelaere/Joly St-Hubert - breeder: A Dujacquier at B-7090 Braine-le-Comte) ridden by Alexa Ferrer (FRA) should be noted, along with her fifth place on the 1.45m.

Another great weekend for the SBS horses which is nothing but a promising sign for the future. (ML)
