A farewell ceremony took place Saturday 18th may at 3.30PM

He was born in the last days of spring 2001 and made his first steps in the hennuyère region (BEL) at Séverine Siraux’s before flying to Sweden and the Malin Baryard-Johnsson stables with whom he completed his training as a champion. It is true that with his prestigious SBS origins - his father is KASHMIR VAN SCHUTTERSHOF who need no introduction and on his mother's side CAPRICIEUX DES SIX CENSES was a very appreciated stallion in Hainaut (BEL) - we expected nothing less from him. In April 2012, on the eve of his eleventh birthday, REVEUR DE HURTEBISE moved to Normandy, to the famous Haras des Coudrettes (FRA) where he met Kevin Staut, who was to become his official rider. And the champion became a star. Alone, or as a team with the French team.

To his name, an uninterrupted series of victories, all more prestigious than the previous ones, since his first place at the Global Champion Tour of Monaco in 2012. Over the years, the leading jumping venues of Gijon, Rotterdam, London, Bordeaux, Knokke, La Baule and Göteborg have seen Kashmir's son wearing the winner's blanket. Among his incredible achievements, we should mention his active participation in the silver medal of the French team at the World Equestrian Games in Caen, the gold medal at the European Championship in Aachen in 2015 and the Olympic gold medal in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, not to mention his individual victory in the IJRC's final Grand Prix in Geneva in December 2017.

However, REVEUR DE HURTEBISE is also a strong personality who was able to make those who take care of him understand that in 2018 the time had come to grant him a golden and well-deserved retirement. After gradually leaving the limelight, REVEUR DE HURTEBISE returned one last time to the field of his exploits in La Baule on Saturday 18th May for a farewell ceremony scheduled on the occasion of the CSIO to which he gave so much. Pride and emotion are already on the agenda. (CA)
