After team gold medal for Great Britain, which had in its ranks some (HELLO) SANCTOS VAN HET GRAVENHOF (breeder: W. Taets in B-9971 Lembeke) under the saddle of Scott Brash, and a first clear round in the individual final, we were dreaming of a second medal. And it was much closed but with a small fence down in the beginning of second round the dream ran away. Scott Brash and SANCTOS have ended up the first Olympics on a worthy 5th place. We are waiting for some brilliant performances in the following show jumping competitions.
But for Stud-Book sBs, reasons for satisfaction do not stop there.
Obviously, we will point out the 12th place in individual for QUEEN’S LOVER HERO (breeder: L. Henry in B-4217 Héron) alias RAHMANNHOF’S BOGENO with Brazilian Alvaro de Miranda, and we will also point out that 100% of sBs horses running the Olympic Games, all born by sires approved by our Stud-Book, have reached the final. But finest breeding specialists will see that Nino des Buissonnets and London (ex-Carembar de Muze), horses of gold winner Steve Guerdat and of bronze winner Gerco Schroder, are born by sBs approved sires, which are KANNAN and NABAB DE REVE. And they are not the only one in this Olympic prize list.
Yes, this 2012 Olympic vintage will stay a grand cru for Stud-Book sBs and has shown in a striking way to the eyes of the world the outstanding quality of sBs registered products at birth as sBs approved sires! (CA) |
