The sBs specialists in eventing might be more discrete then their equals in jumping, they are at least as constant and talented. RAMSES DE HURTEBISE Ewalco and his rider Xavier Snackers put themselves in the spotlights during the second weekend of June by finishing 4th in the CIC*** of Renswoude (NL), just behind two horses of the New-Zealander C. Fredericks and a Dutch combination.
Only a few weeks after REVEUR DE HURTEBISE was acclaimed sBs Horse of the Year 2011, it is a new encouragement for his breeder Séverine Siraux, the more as this son of the sBs approved sire GLADSTONE is also a half brother through mother’s side of the International performing QUASIMODO DE HURTEBISE and of VICTOIRE DE HURTEBISE, who joined the select group of “Elite” horses after the Belgian Championships of 4-year-olds.
It is also a nice encouragement for the team of the European Horse Centre in Mont-le-Soie, who admitted RAMSES DE HURTEBISE at very young age into their program “Ecuries Wallonnes”, wherefore the affix “Ewalco”. This is a Walloon initiative with a veterinarian and sportive follow up of young horses born in Wallonia, who are promising in jumping, eventing, dressage or endurance and who are related to young also promising riders. Séverine immediately jumped on the occasion and accepted the restrictions brought with this program. The cooperation with Xavier Snackers always was perfect and it is obvious that success is waiting for them at the end of this road… (CA)
